Week 11: Community Guidelines

Today, I will be creating some community guidelines for my website. The purpose of these guidelines is to protect both myself and the users. I want to ensure that my website is a safe and supportive environment where people of all backgrounds can come together and share their thoughts and opinions on the topic of finance.

  • Respect and be kind to others
Do not bash on other just because their opinions differ from yours. We are all equal and here to learn.
  • Keep your comments in line with the topic
This is a finance-centric website. Do not bring your political, sports, gossip, and other opinions here. There are other places for that.
  • Maintain your privacy
Do not post your personal information including but not limited to email addresses, passwords, phone numbers, and street addresses.
  • Do not spread false information
Do not misled others in a way that can cause significant harm (i.e. Buy X stock because it will go up 50% tomorrow).
  • No promotion or spam
We do not need any unnecessary clutter that distracts the focus of this website. Any sort of promotional content should be approved by the admin (myself) first.

These are the guidelines that I believe are essential in creating a safe environment for users of my website. By adhering to the guidelines, users can confidently explore and discuss all things finance. If you feel that something needs to be changed or added, feel free to let me know.
